Since the year 1995 Erik Jansen (1968) is working as (international) tax adviser. After he graduated in Business- and Tax Economics from the University of Rotterdam he was employed as tax adviser at Ernst & Young and subsequently Mazars in Rotterdam. During these years he learned a lot with respect to tax technical skills but also on professional skills and ethics; all the necessary skills of a tax adviser. In June 2007 he graduated a European Tax Law study at the University of Rotterdam. Erik is member of the International Fiscal Association (IFA) and the Dutch Association of Tax Science.

At Ernst & Young as well as Mazars Erik was employed in the Dutch and international tax practise. Besides tax advise on the field of individual and corporate income tax law he also took care of complicated individual and corporate income tax returns. At Mazars he was further more and more involved in legal (High) Court proceedings.

At Tax Consultants International Erik was employed in the international tax practise. He was responsible for a growing number of international corporate and individual clients. He was involved in tax matters of companies from the United States or Australia doing business in or via The Netherlands and with individual clients for example working on- or offshore in the oil- and gas business. Erik also gave tax training on divers subjects of international tax law.

In 2009 he moved from Rotterdam to Nijmegen where he was employed as tax director at Acconavm. He was head of the tax support division and as such responsible for the quality of the tax advise of 170 tax colleagues. He was chairman of the group of international tax and wage withholding tax / social security specialists and involved in divers negotiations with tax authorities to implement the innovation box.

On August 1, 2012 Erik started Innovative Tax. Since October 1, 2012 he is lecturer International Tax Law at the University of Applied Sciences in Kleve (Germany)

Erik is married and has three daughters. In private Erik likes divers sports. He likes international mountaineering; in the Alpes he climbed more than fourty mountains higher than 4,000 meters. Later in January 2005 he reached the summit of Aconcagua (Argentina, 6,965 meters), in June 2007 he reached the summit of Mount McKinley (Alaska, 6,190 meters) and in June 2008 he reached the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro (Tanzania, 5,950 meters)
He ran the New York City Marathon in November 2001. He finished five times in an eleven city skating race of 200 kilometres.
